My Cultural Bag
By: Alek McMorrough
There are several things in my life that i cherish deeply but the ones I cherish most will be recognized in this paper about my cultural bag.
My first item in my cultural bag is a important part of my life because it is a hobby I enjoy immensely a lot. It also represents a part of my personality, this item that takes up a enormous part of my life is a baseball. I choice the baseball because ever since I was six and started to play baseball, my life seemed twenty-times better which made me want to take up a career as a MLB player for the boston Red Sox. Years later, I realized that my speed, my strength, and my ability of not being able to get beat down easily comes in handy when you play with thirteen year olds who pick on you constantly. This has been my favorite sport since I was eight and will stay that way, and this is why I choice the baseball for my first item.
My second item in my culture bag represents how a trip to one of the largest cities in the United States changed the way I look at things in life, this item is a statue of The Statues of Liberty. I choice a statue of The Statue of Liberty because before my trip to New York City I felt greedy, self-centered, and that my life was terrible, my feelings changed when I saw that New York City is inhabited with the poor and sad homeless people. I couldn’t help feeling sorry for them. I would have given a few dollars but sadly as my father says since he carries credit cards, I had no cash on me. That experience mad me look at things in a new way, a better way.
My third item in my culture bag represents how making decisions is not my best quality.
